FOR THIS TIME
Our service began at 6:00 p.m. and after at time of worshipping and inviting the Holy Spirit in our midst to lead us, Pastor Gabriel began by welcoming everyone and making proclamations to begin our time of prayer. These were: 2 Chronicles 7:14, Psalms 66:18-20 and Daniel 9:3-6
We had our tribal chairman, vice chair and tribal representatives pray for our tribal government, administration, employment and economic development, education and library department, our Cahuilla language and cultural department, and our youth and youth department. One of our elders prayed in the native tongue also.
We then had one of our church board members read the Mayor of Coachella's proclamation and pray over the businesses throughout our Coachella Valley.
Tribal members from Morongo, Soboba and Cahuilla Reservations were present to pray for their reservations and all the surrounding tribes of southern California. And we prayed for all the reservations in both California and across the nation. We prayed for sovereignty land issues, preserving burial sites and land preservations, tribal governments, health issues and youth issues.
We also prayed for our president and all the members of his cabinet, for the judicial system, the supreme court, the armed forces around the world and their families, and we praised God for the recent victory over the partial-birth abortion issue.
We had a very powerful time together and our meeting ended about 11:00 p.m.
